Liverpool trio Stealing Sheep, Becky, Emily and Lucy, have spent over a decade carving out their own corner of avant-pop. Their distinctive “visual pop” world has built a devoted cult following, with fans spanning online subcultures from gamers and cosplayers to the ever-faithful 6 Music crowd.
Their latest album GLO marks a bold new chapter. Produced by Joe Wills at Nan’s House Studio in Liverpool’s Invisible Wind Factory, the record blends medieval electronic pop, rave pop, UK garage and PC-influenced production into a strikingly original sound. The album was championed by Lauren Laverne and celebrated at a packed London headline show.
The band have just announced GLO Tour #2, alongside a new picture disc edition of GLO, released by Liverpool label 9×9 exclusively for Record Store Day.
After 15 years of doing things their own way, Stealing Sheep continue to expand their world, proving their singular take on avant-pop has always been ahead of the curve.
