Liverpool’s Ketwig Salon make music that is both heavy and pretty. Or, as the group put it, they specialise in “nonverbal woolly web gaze”. Following from earlier releases of work solely by guitarist Jon Kopf, 2024 saw new material as a full band in the form of ‘EP Thompson’ and a track for the album ‘Freed from labour by the stroke of death,’ in commemoration of the horse Old Billy. The three-piece are currently working on a long-awaited new EP, titled ‘Life sentence from the fashion bizzies’.
